This week is without a doubt the peak week for fall leaves this year. Even though we had a full day of strong wind and "soaking rain," as the forecast called it, on Wednesday, many of the trees held on to their bright red, orange, and yellow leaves. When the sun shines through the leaves, the trees really seem to glow.
A few times this week, I could see some of these glowing treetops peeking out over the walls surrounding the Grove Street Cemetery. Today, I took one of the guided tours and brought my camera along to try to capture some of the bright colors.
Happy almost Halloween! I hope you have some time to enjoy the leaves!
