1 Full Day

It's taken me four days to try to figure out the 1 tradition or the 1 photograph that encapsulates Christmas. It's not possible.

During Christmas, I exchange gifts with family under three Christmas trees. I share stories with many of my aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, grandparents. This year I ate 2 pieces of lasagna on Christmas Day, and quite a few cookies as well.

That's the beauty of this holiday--so much happens in abundance. I am grateful that I have so much to share, and so many to share with. I am grateful that for nearly three decades, I have been surrounded by people who share their love so that this holiday holds so many cherished memories.

Love is the 1 tradition that makes Christmastime. Love is the tradition that started it all--for God so loved the world. Love is the tradition that we should carry on throughout the year, in all things, and for all people.

I saw a sign in a store yesterday that said 362 days 'till Christmas (now 361). May they be filled with love.
